(Shutterstock) CASPER, Wyo. — Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines in southeast Wyoming on Friday, according to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne. 'Widespread power outages are expected,' the NWS in Cheyenne said. 'Travel will be difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles.' Wind gusts up to 65 mph will be possible in the central Laramie Range and southwest Platte County from 3 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, the NWS in Cheyenne forecasts. The south Laramie Range and foothills are expected to see gusts up to 60 mph.
